Today you will be using the iPads to dig deeper into our unit on matter! You will need to follow the directions as listed below to be successful. Do not skip any step and make sure you read all the directions before going to the site. You may work independently or with a partner/table group. 1. Review the following websites and take notes on a sheet of paper. Use those summary skills you learned at the first of the year! Only the most important or "new" information should be recorded! Go to the following website and answer the questions the follow on your the same sheet of paper you wrote your summary on. What is matter? 2.What are two ways matter can change? 3.Explain and give an example of each type of change. 4.What are the four main states of matter? 5.What is all matter made up of? 6.What is another name for a state (not Illinois or California) 7.People describe objects in many ways using size, shape, colors and textures. Describe these two objects (on the website) using these characteristics: A. bowl filled with oranges B. Wrapped birthday present 8. .What do properties describe? 9 .Name one new thing you learned about matter. 3. Finally, go to this website, there will be a mini lab to complete.
